My Story
Hi! My name is Yolanda and I have been a Scentsy Consultant since May 2013. I am orginally from California and moved here to Utah in 1994. I am married, have five children (all boys!) and I became a Grandma last July. I have a full time job and I am a part-time employee for a private company. But enough about me, here's my Scentsy Story. A co-worker started selling Scentsy at our work. She asked me to host a party so I agreed to help her out. I had seen Scentsy booths here and there but had not purchased one and had not really looked at them. So prior to my party, I did some research on Scentsy and its products. What caught my attention the most was how safe the warmers are. No matches, flames, soot, or smell after turning it off. I could leave it on all day and not worry about the glass breaking, something catching on fire or cutting the wick so the flame wasn't too high. The warmers are decorative and fit just about anyone's style. During my party I started thinking to myself, "I like this product. I am having fun doing this party. I think I want to be a consultant!" For me, this was a very strong feeling that I should become a Scentsy Consultant. I talked to my husband about it and signed up within a week of the party I had hosted. About four months later, I tore the ligaments in my ankle and broke my leg during a fall. I was in bed for a month. During this time I could not work my part time job. This was two months before Christmas. Fortunately for me, I had established my Scentsy business. I did promoting and advertising from my bed using my laptop. My customers were understanding and willing to pick up their orders from my house. And when they couldn't I had my family help in delivering orders for me. My Scentsy income helped me provide extra money for Christmas that year. Since then I have met new people, added extra income without having to leave my home as much as I did with my part time employment and I really enjoy selling Scentsy. This company has beautiful products that are guaranteed, safe, and affordable. There are so many people and groups to help you whenever you need support, ideas, or questions. I am thankful that I listened to that strong feeling I had about becoming a Scentsy Consultant. I am excited to see where this opportunity takes me!
